MEET OUR TEAM

  • A native of Grand Rapids, Michigan, Tiffany attended Michigan State University, graduating with a degree in apparel and textile design. Tiffany spent the early years of her career as a fashion designer and clothing production manager in New York City. After the 2008 market crash, Tiffany felt something was missing and wanted to try something new. She worked as Director of Operations for the high-end outdoor furniture company, Munder-Skiles in Garrison, NY. This gave Tiffany her first taste of interior design by working directly with interior design firms across the country. She and her husband, Jon, eventually made their way back to the Midwest to raise their young family, first in Michigan where she worked for the retailer Anthropologie, and then in Indianapolis, where they have resided for the past 8 years.

Tiffany’s experience in fashion design, operations, and retail, along with her love of travel and antiquing, inspired her to start her own design firm, Tiffany Skilling Interiors, in 2015. TSI began as Tiffany renovated her own historic home and helped friends and family design their homes around their personal styles. As word traveled about Tiffany’s unique skillset of managing projects and customizing design, TSI flourished and expanded to include clients all over Meridian-Kessler neighborhood, where Tiffany and her family live.

Tiffany has found a passion in specializing in historical renovations; she finds enjoyment in conceptualizing whole home renovations, from planning the exterior and interior design, along with furnishings and finishing touches. Her focus is to create intentional, cohesive design from the curb all the way through to the back yard.

Tiffany’s favorite aspect of her role in any design project she encounters is helping her clients tell their personal story through their collections and inspirations. She focuses on how her clients’ families live and ensures her designs reflect their journeys and daily way of life. Storytelling through design is what motivates Tiffany to share her passion on every project, big or small.

  • Rachel is a New Orleans native and University of Alabama graduate. She spent her last semester of school working in New York City for the Italian, luxury fashion house Emilio Pucci, which is where she fell in love with bright colors, statement pieces, and unique, standout designs. She remained in NYC for the next 6 years, attended Parsons School of Design and worked for several different designers including Diane von Furstenberg and Ports 1961.

While pursuing her NYC fashion dreams, she met and fell in love with her now husband. They both shared a love for adventure and travel. Over the next 10 years they lived and worked in Boston, Singapore, San Francisco, Indianapolis, Hong Kong, and Sydney, Australia. In that time, they were blessed with 3 beautiful children. Rachel’s family traveled the world, immersed themselves in new cultures, and had some of the most amazing adventures and experiences. Living abroad Rachel’s passion for fashion design expanded from clothing to interiors. She loved learning how different cultures live: from tiny apartment dwelling in Singapore and Hong Kong to beach side living in Australia. Each place had its own unique character. Along the way she was exposed to distinctive designs and brands. She could not help but collect unique antiques and furniture from all over.

In 2021, Rachel and her family relocated to Indianapolis. When she hired Tiffany Skilling Interiors to help with her home revamp, the stars aligned. Rachel was inspired by Tiffany and vice versa. In 2022, Tiffany hired Rachel to her already amazing team as the buyer for her design firm and new retail store, Le Shoppe.

  • With her Air Force officer father, Donna grew up moving around the United States with her mother and two sisters. Her family settled in Dayton, Ohio when she was a freshman in High School. She attended Bowling Green State University and the Medical College of Ohio earning a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing. The next 25 years were spent working as an intensive care unit nurse and raising her son, Austin.

Donna met her husband, Adam, on a blind date and had a long distance relationship for 10 years while waiting for Austin to graduate high school and study chemical engineering at the University of Cincinnati. In fall of 2014, Donna moved to Indianapolis to be with Adam and work as his nurse in the operating room and office taking care of Plastic Surgery patients. During this time they lived in the Meridian Kessler neighborhood due to their appreciation of historic homes. In May 2017, Adam and Donna purchased their dream home located on Meridian Street. Unfortunately, their home was struck by lightening, which ignited a fire in the attic. The home was completely devastated from the water needed to extinguish the fire. Donna and Adam relocated to a nearby apartment for the next 18 months while the home was restored.

During this devastating time, Donna met Tiffany and Kelly. The duo arrived at the destroyed house for a consult wearing boots and offering hugs. It was the beginning of a beautiful and meaningful relationship. The TSI team used their skills to remodel Donna and Adam’s home. During this phase, Donna was fascinated with the process and wanted to be involved with TSI in other projects as well. She took her skills to assess and manage complex patients and offered to help TSI assess and organize complex projects. Donna maintains the busy office at TSI, keeping clients and projects organized and accessible. The library of fabrics, paint samples, wood textures, stains, and designs requires a librarian to keep them organized and accessible for each project. Donna’s caring nature supports both the TSI team and TSI clients as home visions become a reality.
